Voltaic is a useful application that will help you convert your AVCHD movie clips into a Mac-friendly format, ready for editing in Final Cut Express HD, iMovie HD, and Final Cut Pro.
Voltaic lets you copy all your footage to your Mac, unplug your camera, then convert the footage while you (and your camera) go and do other things.
NOTE: VoltaicHD 3.0.1 can only be purchased via the Mac App Store (the buy link redirects you to its App Store page). To purchase/download applications via the App Store an Apple account is required.
