Layer Groups for Adobe InDesign is a plug-in that provides support for a great Photoshop feature you`ve missed in InDesign. Now you can use the layers in InDesign freely without the risk of getting lost in them. It`s time to get organized, it`s time to get layer groups.
Non-printing setting is not anymore just on object level in InDesign. With Layer Groups plug-in you can set the non-printing attribute to entire layer the way you are used to in other applications.
Here are some key features of "Layer Groups for Adobe InDesign":
· Layer Groups name well describes the plug-ins main feature - the possibility to sort layers into folders.
· The second feature enables you to choose entire layer as non-printing. This way you can easily have a layer for comments or alternative objects without the risk of getting them accidentally into print. This feature was added to InDesign CS3 and Layer Groups plug-in is fully compatible (non-printing layers created in CS will have the CS3 format once imported)
· All documents created with the Layer Groups can still be opened and edited without this plug-in. The layer hierarchy will remain the same. Changes made to the layer structure without Layer Groups plug-in will be synchronized with the group structure when opened with Layer Groups plug-in again.
Requirements:
· Adobe InDesign CS3 or later
Limitations:
· 14 days trial period.

· You can import layers including content from other documents. This is useful when you need to collaborate on content, send text for translation and re-import it.
· Layer Groups now display also objects in the layer (in the document or on current spread).
· If you are using Layer Tools bundle (or Layer Groups and Layer Comps together), please also update the Layer Comps plug-in when updating to Layer Groups 2.0. This ensures compatibility with the new features.
